And Your Daughters Shall Prophesy: Stories from the Byways of American Women and Religion, by Adrian Shirk.
Beautifully written and incredibly personal. I appreciated the author’s willingness to weave her own narrative through the fabric of the women she chose to study, and even more grateful for the tapestry she created by doing so. This book was a testament to the pervasiveness of divinity and theology and their presence in every place and every person regardless of religious (or institutional) affiliation. And since that’s where I’m at right now, I enjoyed this book deeply.
