We Real Cool: Black Men and Masculinity, by bell hooks.
It’s common knowledge that bell always has my heart in her pages. I was conflicted in some parts, namely sections on work and feminism being intertwined, but one of the several things I love about bell is her ability to make me think critically and reason for myself. She presented information to me, and I turned it around like an argument over and over and over again until I could settle within my own beliefs. And for that, I am (always) grateful.
